There was a revival in his school when he was in high school, and he gave his life to Jesus during that time. During the communist time, he was followed and imprisoned for 1 year with his wife. After his release, he worked with the underground church (cell groups of 5-6 people) for 8 years. Life and ministry experience / Present ministry: Has served as a choir leader, elder, preacher, and medical lab worker. Has served as a senior pastor for 25 years, is a national board member of World Vision, and is responsible for the Evangelical Fellowship of Southern Ethiopia (a network of 10,000+ churches). Vision for the future: As Ethiopia is more open to the Gospel today than ever before in history, He hopes to see increased church planting eastern (Muslim) and northern (Orthodox) Ethiopia, which will spread to the Arab world.
